Blue Zat Gems is a shop of Fine Indian Jewelry and Art, located near the Jersey Shore, owned and operated by Joe and Becky Richter. The business started in 1972 and specializes in authentic and unique, traditional or contemporary jewelry and artifacts made by master Native American artists and Silversmiths.

Items are hand- picked on trips to the great Southwest reservations of the Acoma, Hopi, Jemez, Laguna, Navajo, San Felipe, Santa Clara, Santa Domingo and Zuni, where they are made with tradition and pride. Some of our artists include Harry Begay, Steven Begay, George Billie Jr., Tommy Jackson, Ben Nighthorse, Larry Pinto, Kirk Smith and Artie Yellowhorse. Kiowa artist Terri Greeves, Zuni artists: Alice Quam, Fay Quandelacy, Edith Tsabetsaye, Lorraine Waatsa, Santa Domingo artist Kenneth Aguilar, Harriett Star and many more.

Native American Tribes in the Southwestern United States are skilled artists in a variety of techniques for creating the most beautiful Native American jewelry and artifacts. Their love for nature and their unique connection with the natural elements of earth contribute to making fine pottery, American Indian artifacts, jewelry from natural stones, and sand paintings, using the resources around them. Native American art and stone workings continue to inspire people throughout the world.
